Samsung vs
Sony on Facebook
Both smartphone giant are very active on social media sites including Facebook.
Analyzing the last twenty-five posts for Samsung Galaxy, one of the largest smartphone companies in North America. Samsung posts several times a week, and sometimes a couple times a day, they are very active on Facebook.
Samsung tends to post about their brand new device the #GalaxyS7as promotional purposes. Included in these posts are images of the new device, and picture/videos demonstrating all new features that they want to promote.
For the most part, Samsung mobile has incorporated the 50/50 rule as they have included information on the oculus rift device which uses virtual reality and turns it into a reality, with the help of Mark Zuckerberg.
Overall Samsung is promoting their new products via Facebook to their audience “Introducing the Samsung #GalaxyS7 and #GalaxyS7edge. Rethink what a phone can do.” Samsung’s most popular and most recent post was one which included their brand new S7 device, it gained 11 million views, 335k likes, and over 90k shares.
Sony on the other hand has not been following the 50/50
rule, instead they use Facebook to post their key features in their xperia
phone such as superior camera results. “Great selfie camera, add your very
best pout, and what do you get? The most beautiful portrait of you!” In
addition, new design, and other products such as their Sony xperia branded
earphones. In comparison to Samsung, Sony is much more active on Facebook, and
post new info on a daily basis. One of Sony’s most popular/recent posts is in
regards to their new Xperia ear device which is ultimately a new Bluetooth
device. It received 3.6k likes and over 35 shares.
